Last year, Denise Jackson was like so many of us and made a resolution to lose weight. But unlike most, she stuck to her resolution . So for those of you already thinking it's too hard and thinking of giving up, Jackson is your motivation. The Dayton woman lost 191 pounds since last January. And if that isn't positively staggering enough, the weight she lost took 117 inches off her body. She did it through hard work, no cheating and also by putting herself first, she said. "Everything was going to be about Denise," said Jackson, 46, who works at Hospice of Dayton. She sticks to lean meat, vegetables, fruits. She avoids junk food and fried foods. She works out three times a week from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at a fitness center.
Last year, at 346 pounds, she awkwardly entered the pool for her first water aerobics class, then added five minutes on the treadmill, out of breath by the fifth minute.See the full content of this document
