Annual average income for the top 1 percent of Ohio households, adjusted for inflation, climbed by more than 40 percent during the past 18 years, hitting $986,000 in 2006, according to "The State of Working Ohio 2007," a report released today by Policy Matters Ohio, a liberal-leaning, nonpartisan research institute based in Cleveland.
