In today's disposable culture, permanence is becoming an outmoded concept. Luckily for fans of od-time country music, Ramblin' Ray Garrison dosn't subscribe to that line of thought. For the past 25 years, Garrison has been volunteering his time to WYSO-FM (91.3), where he has focused on presenting an wide array of pre-rock 'n' roll-era country msic.

"Ray's commitment to WYSO and to fans of country music has been astonishing," said Dave Barber of Cityfolk, who hosts a T uesday night jazz program at the public radio station in Yellow Springs. "Imaine giving up your Saturdays for a quarter of a century to volunteer and share your record collection."
