A federal grand jury in the Southern District of Ohio last week indicted Nuradin M. Abdi, a 32-year-old Somali native, on charges of providing material support to al-Qaida by conspiring with convicted al-Qaida member Iyman Faris to detonate a bomb at an unidentified shopping mall in Columbus the day after Thanksgiving, one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
