TROTWOOD -- Friends and family filled the gym where Lamar Alan Davis Jr. aspired to shine so they could remember the 14-year-old basketball player who died Saturday playing the sport he loved.

"If there is a court in heaven, he's on it," Trotwood-Madison basketball coach Larry Ham told the crowd of more than 200 who came to remember Davis. "If there is a rim, Lamar is hanging on that rim."
