Summary


You can trace a line from The Monkees to modern day television rockers Flight of the Concords and ZO2, which blur the lines between reality and fiction. However, unlike Davy Jones and the boys, these acts were making music before landing TV gigs.

According to Paulie Zablidowsky of ZO2, overcoming the image of sitcom rockers has plagued him and his bandmates, brother David Zablidowsky and Joey Cassata, since their comedy series "Z Rock" debuted on the IFC channel in 2008.
