YELLOW SPRINGS -- The audience clapped and clapped until their hands were red and sore. The combined Yellow Springs Community Band, Yellow Springs Community String Orchestra and three teen soloists stood on stage beaming after their first successful Celebration Concert.

The Community Band under the direction of James Johnston and the Community Orchestra directed by Shirley Mullins came together for the concert on the campus of Antioch University to celebrate life, celebrate music and to celebrate community.
