Summary
DAYTON -- University of Dayton basketball coach Brian Gregory knows the only way to get back to the NCAA tournament is to beat a few more high-caliber foes, and the 2007-08 schedule will give his team a chance to do just that. UD, which has gone three years without a tourney berth, will play 10 schools in 2007-08 that made either the NIT or the NCAA tournament last season. The Flyers, who return four starters from a team that finished 19-12, will open the season at home Nov. 10 against East Tennessee State. "Our nonconference strength of schedule last year was 26th in the country," Gregory said, "and I believe that this year's could be every bit as difficult. ... If our goal was to secure high-quality opponents for our home games and play in tough environments on the road, I think we have succeeded."
