DAYTON -- More than $1 million in housing grants will target homeless youth and others with special needs in the Dayton area. The largest award -- $750,000 -- will help develop Opportunity House, Daybreak's planned new 40-unit shelter for homeless youth at 605 S. Patterson Blvd.

Renovation of the site, which also will include new construction, started this spring and is expected to be completed by late 2007.
