Ud, Taverns Seek to Curb Alcohol ; Signed Agreement One of Few in Nation, School Says

DAYTON -- Seven campus-area taverns have signed an agreement with the University of Dayton aimed at reducing alcohol abuse and the violence and vandalism that often accompany it.

The Cooperating Tavern Agreement announced by university officials and tavern owners Wednesday is one of only a handful of such agreements in the country, UD officials said. The voluntary agreement -- there are no specified penalties for violations -- includes Milano's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Flanagan's Pub, Timothy's Bar, Jimmie's Cornerstone Bar, the Fieldhouse and the UD Pub on campus in the university's student union.
