For most of us pushing 50, the glory days of elementary school are just fleeting memories of a very few events. I, however, have one memory that lingers on in spite of the years.

In fourth grade at Vandalia-Butler's Stonequarry Elementary, my teacher, Mrs. Linda Bridenbach, made a lasting impression upon me -- and made memories that I treasure to this day.
