SPRINGBORO -- Craig Colston had more on his mind than the problems and disagreements splitting the Springboro school district when he resigned as president of the school board on Tuesday, May 25.

The day before, Colston was scheduled to appear before a Warren County Common Pleas magistrate for a debtor's exam stemming from a lawsuit filed by the Ohio Department of Taxation, the latest in a series dating back to 2007 and involving more than $60,000 in unpaid taxes, interest and penalties, according to court records.
