WASHINGTON TWP., Montgomery County -- Southview Hospital will become the 23rd affiliate of the Harvard Medical School's Joslin Diabetes Center in an invitation-only opening ceremony tonight.

The center will integrate diagnostics and treatment for "the many complications that people with diabetes may experience," said Greg Henderson, Southview's senior executive officer. "Complications like vision loss, as well as circulatory and kidney problems, work together and influence the patient's health, so it makes sense that the specialties should work together in treating the patient.
