Summary
We thought this was an interesting list: Smithsonian magazine's 35 Who Made a Difference is in the November issue, marking its 35th anniversary by naming scientists, artists and scholars who've been featured previously, and who all made a mark on our lives, in the editors' view. They include: Wynton Marsalis, Bill Gates, Steven Spielberg, Sally Ride, author Maya Angelou, architects Frank Gehry and Maya Lin, director Julie Taymor, scientist and DNA discoverer James Watson, photographer Annie Leibovitz, Yo-Yo Ma, archaeologist Richard Leakey, bioterrorism expert D.A. Henderson, poet Wendell Berry, author Gordon Parks and portrait artist Chuck Close. An intriguing bunch, indeed.
