STAR SIGHTING!

The Dead opened the second set of its concert on July 25 at the Verizon Wireless Music Center near Indianapolis by dedicating a cover of the Eagles' Desperado to Linda Ronstadt. Ronstadt was escorted off the property of the Aladdin Theatre in Las Vegas on July 17 after dedicating her performance of that song to Fahrenheit 9/11 filmmaker Michael Moore, in praise of his film. Swaying to the Dead's version off to one side of the stage was Survivor's most recent million-dollar winner, Rupert Boneham, who resides in Indianapolis. Boneham, who sported a YMCA Lifeguard shirt instead of his trademark tie-dye, graciously greeted fans and posed for photos before the show while hanging with friends in the makeshift vendors' market in the parking lot.
