COLUMBUS -- Inspector General Tom Charles found little to agree with in Ohio Job and Family Services Director Helen Jones-Kelley's explanations for authorizing searches of state databases and using her state e-mail account for political activity.

Gov. Ted Strickland suspended Jones-Kelley, 57, of Clayton for a month without pay on Thursday, Nov. 20. She formerly served as director of the Montgomery County Job and Family Services Department.
