Re "Students graduating on time proving costly for the Ohio State University," May 8: I am appalled that OSU, and probably other universities, have the mindset that if a student graduates in four years, the university is losing money. The school has actually calculated a "loss" of as much as $2 million this year, because as many as 320 students graduated on time.
The article says that OSU has a plan to combat this "problem," possibly by cutting classes. This simply means that it will alter class schedules to make it harder for students to take selected courses when needed, in order to fulfill their class requirements on time.See the full content of this document
