COLUMBUS -- As Ohio State fans were streaming onto the field -- turning it into a giant mosh pit -- quarterback Troy Smith gave childhood friend and teammate Ted Ginn Jr. a facemaskto-facemask hug and then turned in his best scramble of the day.

Grabbing the back of receiver Devon Lyons' shoulder pads, Smith dropped his head and weaved from midfield to the players' tunnel without being stopped, running up the ramp and disappearing into the night.
