U.S., Ohio Jobless Rates Near 2-Year Low

COLUMBUS -- Ohio's jobless rate dipped to 9.4 percent in January, the lowest rate in nearly two years and the 11th straight month the rate has declined, all signs of a gradually improving economy.

The news Friday was similar at the national level, with the February unemployment rate dropping to 8.9 percent, also nearly a two-year low, and down from 9 percent in January.
