The price of gas still hasn't crept high enough to encourage me to stop driving a car and start riding the bus. But the annual confusion of renewing my license plate registration could be.

To be fair, renewing license plate registrations is not as difficult as it was back in the day, when we had to stand in long lines at the license bureau to buy new plates every year. Now most of us can handle the transaction by mail and we receive little stickers that can be applied to the license plates we already have.
