EATON -- With a large population of Quakers, it's probably not surprising that parts of Preble County had a rich heritage of helping slaves escape through the Underground Railroad.
On Wednesday, author and part-time minister Donne Hayden will perform a one-woman fictional drama about two Quaker women, using maps, photos and stories about the area, especially Gratis, Somers and Israel townships, where most of the Quakers settled.See the full content of this document
