COLUMBUS -- A large majority of Ohio likely voters -- 65 percent - - see the state's economy as getting worse, and majorities also say Democrats would do a better job handling the economy and creating jobs than would Republicans, according to the latest Ohio Poll.

The poll, sponsored by the University of Cincinnati, also finds that a large majority of likely voters rate Ohio economic conditions as "fair" or "poor." Majorities of both Democrats (90 percent) and Republicans (73 percent) rated conditions in these two categories.
