PIQUA, Miami County -- Twelve hours on and 12 off. Those are hours Piqua snow plow drivers kept, trying to keep streets safe for drivers during the recent heavy snows in the city.

The first big snow, which totalled about 14 inches, had Doug Harter, superintendent of the Piqua Street and Parks, putting in an 86-hour week. Then came the second snow with 9 inches, and the third snow with 7 inches.
