DAYTON - A patient took a nurse hostage Wednesday morning at the Dayton Veterans Affairs Medical Center and was shot by VA police, Dayton police said.
The 36-year-old patient, who was not immediately identified, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital after the 7:15 a.m. incident and immediately went to surgery.
