Ohio Hunters Check in 16 Percent More Wild Turkeys

Ohio wild turkey hunters were 16 percent more successful this year than last, according to preliminary statistics released by the Ohio Division of Wildlife.

Hunters checked 21,909 wild turkeys during the statewide four- week spring season that ended May 16. Last year, the preliminary total was 18,936.
