DAYTON -- Area transportation officials asked an Ohio Department of Transportation project review board Thursday to authorize another $10 million in state monies to fund the Interstate 75/Austin Pike interchange project.

The project's cost escalated $20 million from preliminary estimates because the scope expanded since the project was initially reviewed. Now the project is estimated at $47.6 million.
