ENGLEWOOD -- Brian Thomas decide he wanted to run a marathon, but it kind of got away from him.

The 1994 Northmont grad found the only race close to him was a 50 kilometer run. Deciding "why not," he entered and started a Web site to keep friends and family informed. He also used his run to raise money for the Lupus Foundation.
