WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE -- John L. "Jack" Hudson, the retired Air Force lieutenant general who most recently served as commander of the Aeronautical Systems Center, which oversees aircraft procurement and modernization, will be taking a newly created job as deputy director of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.

Hudson retired Oct. 1 to end 36 years of active duty. He is to report for his new civilian job at the museum in early January, Air Force spokesman Ron Fry said Friday, Dec. 11.
