A Butler County grand jury on Wednesday indicted a former Virginia middle school teacher on 16 counts of engaging in sexual contact with a Middletown girl between September 1998 and September 2002.

John Utin, 64, a retired Blacksburg, Va., teacher faces eight counts of rape and eight counts of gross sexual imposition. He was arrested last week in Virginia on a warrant accusing him of molesting the daughter of a family friend who lives in Middletown.
