DAYTON -- Dayton Board of Education member Mario Gallin will seek re-election, joining three other board members in pursuit of four open seats in November.

Gallin, the longest serving board member, was first elected in 1999 along with Tony Hill and Clayton Luckie. At the time, Gallin and Hill campaigned as reformers in the wake of a financial scandal that cost the then-Superintendent James Williams and then-Treasurer Kennon Goff their jobs.
