DAYTON -- The Dayton Metro Library board will consider removing its 2 mill continuing levy from the May ballot after discovering it could cost the library system up to $700,000 just to appear on the ballot, according to Tim Kambitsch, executive director.

On Thursday, Feb. 12, the board will hold a special 9 a.m. meeting to consider a recommendation by Kambitsch to pull the issue off the ballot. The Montgomery County Commission will also need to vote on the change.
