The village of Lewisburg can be held responsible for a 13- vehicle accident that occurred outside of village limits, but may have been caused by smoke from village workers burning trash, the Ohio Supreme Court has ruled.

The court voted 6-1 to affirm a 2nd District Court of Appeals ruling that Lewisburg was not immune from liability, according to the court's office of public information.
