BOISE, Idaho -- Arizona's sweeping new immigration law doesn't take effect until July 29, but lawmakers in nearly 20 other states are clamoring to follow in its footsteps.
Butler County Sheriff Rick Jones and Ohio Rep. Courtney Combs, R- Ross Twp., have asked Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland for a state legislation that mirrors the Arizona bill. The governor's press secretary, Amanda Wurst, indicated that the Arizona immigration bill is a hot button that Strickland's not about to push in Ohio.See the full content of this document
