As the title "Driftwood" implies, the new CD from local indie rockers Late Nite Drivers is a musical portrait of a band in flux. Songs such as "I Wanna Feel" and "It Would Take a Giant Ocean" tackle feelings of isolation, indecision and the growing pressures of adulthood. These emotions aren't unfamiliar to band members Billy Swayne (guitar, vocals), Chris Dilts (drums), Heather Redman (guitar, vocals) and Chris Drake (bass).
"The band has slowly been deconstructing, I think, over the past year," Swayne said. "It's really funny because I feel like I wrote that into being because that's kind of what this album is about.
