TROTWOOD -- City council members remained quiet on the advice of attorneys at Wednesday night's informational meeting to discuss a rumored landfill, but Mayor Donald K. McLaurin assured the 150 or so residents "we are working on behalf of you."

Attorney Joe Gregg confirmed B&B Commercial Investment LLC of Avon Lake, the purchaser of about 600 acres of agricultural land, is a subsidiary of Waste Management Inc., and plans to build a solid waste landfill.
