Summary


The tree where 9-year-old Joey Sharpe died has become a tribute to the way he lived.

The tree in the Sharpe family's backyard is decorated with flowers, pinwheels, Nerf baseballs. There is a photo montage of his friends from Room 505 at John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Kettering. Their class pictures are accompanied by notes in earnest grade-school penmanship: "Joey you are like a brother to me," and "Miss you Joey!"
