DAYTON -- Gail Horvath and many other Julienne graduates are pulling -- and praying -- to preserve a school building.

Dayton Public Schools wants to demolish the building on Homewood Avenue to build an elementary school. But 70-year-old Horvath, a '57 alumnus-turned-cheerleader, is making her point by publishing her book, "Our Dear Old Julienne ... From Notre Dame Academy to Chaminade-Julienne and Beyond."
