KETTERING -- After three heartbreaking near misses, Jefferson standout Adreian Payne was not going to let the Division IV regional basketball championship trophy out of his sight.

The Michigan State bound senior carried the trophy to the top of the ladder as he helped the Broncos cut down the net following a 55- 51 overtime win over Fort Recovery in front of a robust crowd -- mostly dressed in Fort Recovery purple -- at Trent Arena.
