Decision Due in January ; Miami County Must Choose Storage for Voting Machines

TROY -- Miami County Board of Elections members vowed Dec. 8 to end months of uncertainty and settle in January on a plan for storing and testing the county's 388 electronic voting machines.

The board asked elections director Steve Quillen and board facilities committee chairman Kelly Gillis to draw up a proposal on the best location to prepare the machines for deployment to polling places, check their condition on return after Election Day and then store each unit.
