SPRINGFIELD -- The overcrowded jail soon will have a temporary fix, using money authorized by the Clark County commissioners to pay for six new deputies to staff pods for 60 inmates.
In a 2-1 vote Tuesday, Commissioners John Detrick and Roger Tackett voted to approve $149,574 to pay for six deputies for the remainder of the year, and $46,000 to cover costs of inmates housed in other county jails until the pods are available.See the full content of this document
