COLUMBUS -- Dayton area organizations will receive about $3.76 million to help prevent homelessness and seek permanent housing for homeless residents, Ohio Development Director Lisa Patt-McDaniel announced on Monday, Nov. 30.

Statewide, 82 agencies were awarded more than $17 million in homeless assistance and prevention grants, with money coming from the Emergency Shelter Grant Program and the Ohio Housing Trust Fund.
