DAYTON -- Miami Valley residents could see a 20 percent decrease in their heating bills as winter temperatures climb 30 percent higher than normal.

"So far, for January, it's been 28 percent warmer than normal," said Chase Kelley, a spokeswoman for Vectren Energy, the region's primary natural gas supplier, serving 320,000 in 17 counties -- most in the Dayton area.
