Arts Headlines; Culture Works to Save Mural

Dayton - The Dayton Foundation has awarded a $2,000 discretionary grant to Culture Works to help preserve and restore Dayton's only remaining public project mural, Douglass Inspiring the Youth of the Negro Race. The Depression-era work was completed in 1934 and was previously located in MacFarlane Middle School. Culture Works is the fiscal agent for the project.

Arts Headlines; Culture Works to Save Mural

Dayton - The Dayton Contemporary Dance Company will have auditions for the 2004-05 season Friday in company studios on the second floor of the Metropolitan Arts Center, 126 N. Main St.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m., with tryouts from 10:15 to 5 p.m.
