A lot has changed locally in classical guitar music since the late '70s. Much of that is due to the influence of Jim McCutcheon, who has tirelessly promoted the music as a performer in public venues, at area schools and as a radio host on WDPR-FM (88.1).

Perhaps his greatest legacy will be as a music instructor at Wright State University, the University of Dayton and his own McCutcheon Music in Centerville, which has given him the chance to inspire thousands of young guitarists.
