The music industry is a strange business. You never know when, or how, your big break will arrive, which is the case with Framing Hanley, performing at McGuffy's on Friday, Aug. 13.

The Tennessee rockers enjoyed modest success with its Silent Majority Group debut, "The Moment" (2008). However, scoring a surprise hit single with an impromptu recording of Lil Wayne's "Lollipop" opened a new world of possibilities for Kenneth Nixon (vocals), Luke McDuffee (bass), Brandon Wooten (guitar), Ryan Belcher (guitar) and Chris Vest (drums).
