KETTERING -- Kettering Fairmont High School football players arrived early to take part in a mock scenario on the football practice field along Far Hills Avenue as part of a multijurisdictional emergency services training session sponsored by the Kettering Fire Department on Aug. 23.

Some would become victims in the scenario in which an elderly driver has a stroke and loses control of his vehicle, which jumps a curb and mows down 26 of the 80-some players.
