It would be completely understandable if he had buried the horrific memories and never spoken of them again. But Delbert Cooper has chosen not only to remember, but to tell. "People are saying the Holocaust never happened," says the Beavercreek man, now 81. "I tell them in graphic detail that it did."

Cooper is one of six individuals being honored during the Dayton Jewish Community's Holocaust Observance on Thursday at Temple Beth Or in Washington Twp. The annual event, which memorializes victims of the Holocaust, this year will also commemorate the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi labor and death camps by the Allies.
