TROTWOOD -- The Dayton Gems won't have their leading scorer to rely on next season. Mike Vaskivuo, 25, was dealt to the Evansville IceMen last week to complete a trade that was made between the two teams before the trade deadline in February.
"I was surprised, but I guess it's the way pro hockey goes sometimes," said Vaskivuo, who led the Gems with 60 points (26 goals, 34 assists) in 2010-11. "I enjoyed my two seasons playing for the fans in Dayton and I appreciate all of the kind gestures throughout the season."See the full content of this document
