CENTERVILLE -- The vaunted triple-option returned to Centerville High School's offense, and it resulted in a 49-30 win over Cincinnati Princeton. It was a come-from-behind win for the Elks in their home opener Friday, Aug. 29, before 5,800 fans at Centerville Stadium. They overcame an early 16-7 deficit utilizing a productive ground game, triggered by emerging quarterback Logan Hanes (153 yards rushing and three touchdowns).

Fullback Nick Miller produced a career-high 202 yards on 31 carries, and Matt Daly added five carries for 63 yards. After unveiling 291 yards passing in its 42-14 opening win over Lakota East, Centerville attempted one lone pass, and that was an interception.
