he Dayton Ballet Association will present its Nutcracker Ball on Saturday, a chance for attendees to dust off that party attire. "It's become a tradition that's looked forward to by ballet patrons and others," Diane Schoeffler-Warren, Victoria Theatre Association public relations manger, said of the event set for 7 p.m. to midnight at the Dayton Marriott Hotel, 1414 S. Patterson Blvd. General-admission tickets are $200 for the black-tie event emceed by 99.9 Lite FM's Kim Faris and featuring gourmet food and music from Fifth Avenue. Deadline for tickets is Wednesday. The Dayton Ballet will stage the "The Nutcracker" from Dec. 10 to 19 at the Schwarz, the 83-year institution is one of the oldest dance schools in the nation.

Mrs. Schwarz influence can be felt in every Nutcracker Ball, Schoeffler-Warren said.
